A wucai sleeve vase，rolwagon，painted with a continuous scene of a pair of cockerels eyeing each other amongst insects and butterflies，between branches of herbaceous peony issuing from pierced rockwork beside aster and rockwork，all beneath an iron-red moon with a magic knot，shell and lotus flowerhead on the gently flared neck，the base unglazed.
