Qianlong Six-Character Mark
The pair of vases with ovoid body are decorated with bats,lotus flowers and peaches suspended from lotus scrolls. All patterns are set between a band of ruyi heads on the flared mouth and a band of narrow classic scroll at the foot ring. The long waisted neck is flanked by a pair of iron-red handles in the shape of stylised chi-dragon.
PROVENANCE
The Meiyintang Collection,Switzerland
The body are all in brilliant opaque enamels outlined in gilt against a turquoise ground extending to the interior and base. The base is inscribed in gilt with a six-character Qianlong reign mark.
