Yongzheng Four-Character Mark
The censer is cast with the cylindrical body with a flat base. The exterior is centred with a band of raised silver rib in gilt and is inlaid with silver to demonstrate the animal masks pattern originated from those ancient Chinese bronze vessels. The animal masks pattern are all set between two raised bands of silver ribs encircling the rim and above the feet. The base is gilt as well and carved with a four-character Yongzheng reign mark. The bronze surface is now with an attractive reddish-brown patina.
