The cupstand is potted elegantly with round and dense body, supported on a tapered foot, bounded by a moulded raised gilt lip for receiving the cup, applied overall with a rich mazarine-blue glaze, save for the persimmon-glazed rim and the base, the latter in white glaze, inscribed with a four-character ‘Zebaisinan’ seal mark.
