Since its beginnings in 1839, Patek Philippe has been pursuing the spirit of fine craftmanship for more than 100 years. The number of watches produced every year is limited, but each timepiece integrates the most advanced technology and complex craftsmanship, so it has become a world-renowned high-end watch brand. As for Patek Philippe’s most popular regal watches, it is none other than the perpetual calendar chronograph in the ultra-complex function series. At the Basel Watch Fair in 2005, Patek Philippe launched the 5970 series, which integrates two major complex functions. Many watch enthusiasts are eager for this style. The case of this lot model 5970R is made of rose gold. The silver-gray dial is equipped with the traditional dial layout of Patek Philippe. The functions such as perpetual calendar and chronograph occupy a corner, and are clear and reliable. The willow-shaped pointer and stick-shaped time scale show the brand’s high-end elegance and charming style. The watch is also equipped with the CH 27-70 / 1550 manual winding movement developed by Lémania, acquired by Patek Philippe. Unfortunately, the 5970 series was discontinued in 2010, but the watch is rare and very stunning and is a worthwhile investment and collectible.
