Kangxi Six-Character Mark
With slightly flaring rim and straight foot rim covered overall in an even pale yellow glaze,slightly pooling at the rim and exterior of the foot rim,the base glazed white. Six character mark of Kangxi within a double ring in underglaze blue and of the period,1662-1722.
▲ An identical bowl formerly in the collection of Sir Joseph E. Hotung,purchased from Adrian Joseph,Hong Kong,May 1981,was included by Marchant in their catalogue of Recent Acquisitions 2003,no.3,p.7.
