Kashmir， a remote region which has the finest specimens and defines the northern most borders between China， India， Pakistan and Afghanistan. The gems are formed by the intersecting movement of three prominent mountain ranges including The Himalayas. Above the earth’s surface， the panorama of jagged rocks， glaciers， lakes and waterfalls is beyond magnificent. What is more， the tectonic movements underneath create complex conditions in Kashmir， where limestone comes into contact with an intruding Pegmatite. The extremely high temperature and pressure， and sometime a rare silicon-free environment were ideal for sapphire growth.
