Inspired from the Horn of Plenty from the ancient Greek mythology, Moiseikin has created this extremely fine and superb mechanical table clock. According to Greek mythology, Zeus hid in the cave of Mount Ida in order to escape his father, Kronus, and was fed by Amalthea, the nurturing goddess, with her milk. Despite being an infant, Zeus possessed extraordinary powers and accidentally broke one of the horns of Amalthea, whom being represented as a goat in Greek mythology. This broken horn was later deified and became a symbol of endless nourishment, just as Zeus’s adoptive mother gave it to Zeus.
Since then, the Horn of Plenty became synonymous with the vessel in the Garden of Eden in Greek mythology that contained all the rich and beautiful things.
“Inheriting and developing the classic Russian jewelry art is what I have been doing. Many times I think about what I can leave to my family in my life and what can be left to the world. So this work expresses my own expectations for a better world. Doing my best to create a bright future for our next generation as a promise. I am very honored to introduce to you the latest piece of work – the Horn of Plenty.”
—Viktor MOISEIKIN

This collection of work depicts the beauty of the Garden of Eden in Greek Mythology, and exhibits a lot of vitality through more than 4,500 precious natural gems, semi-precious stones and high-quality natural seawater pearls. The plump grapes carved from natural amethysts grow from a very rare natural nautilus shell with pink lustre and watery texture. The leaves, carved from nephrites and plated with gold, replenish the lifelike orchids made of natural quartz and colored sapphires, as if permeating warmth and happiness.
The ripe pomegranate symbolizes fertility and prosperity. The surface is made of orange and yellow sapphires with a special inlay process.
In the design of the hummingbird, a large number of garnets are used to decorate the bright wings. A pair of shining tanzanites are decorated with feather patterns, and the design and the craftsmanship are exquisite, making them more vivid and dazzling.
At the base of the carefully carved nephrites, pearls and diamonds, 12 Arabic numerals can be seen. Together with the pearls, they form a dial that tell time.
In the base of the clock made of nephrites, 18K gold and dolerites, there is an exclusive key for activating the clock. After winding the clock, the entire upper part of the clock will rotate according to the time of day, presenting it perfectly in front of its owner in 360 degrees.
This masterpiece is the third edition of the high art jewelry clock from the collection of the Moiseikin Jewellery House. The first edition is now permanently collected in the Russian Presidential Palace.
