In 2018，Rolex unveiled the new rainbow Cosmograph Daytona at Basel World. The brand has replaced the previous white diamond hour markers with a soft pink gold case and gradient coloured sapphires for the hour markers，accentuating the bright hues and beauty of the rainbow. This lot，reference 116595RBOW-0002，is an even more unique version，with a dial paved with diamonds to resemble the starry sky under an iridescent sky. The bezel is also made up of sapphires of different colours. Due to Rolex’s strict selection criteria，the selection and setting of each coloured sapphire is a lengthy process，indicating that the watch is precious and rare. In order to achieve a balanced look，Rolex also adorned the lugs，crown and bracelet with brilliant-cut diamonds，which are extremely dazzling. It is equipped with a self-winding chronograph calibre 4130 with a power reserve of approximately 72 hours，a column wheel and a vertical chronograph clutch that enables the chronograph to be instantaneously activated to ensure precise timing.
